Montalvo Wedding - Newport News, Va.

I recently had the pleasure and the honor of photographing a dear friend's wedding. Kim and I were roommates in college and sorority sisters. We were inseparable in college, and even though life has taken us in different paths, living in different cities, when the two of us get back together for visits we don't miss a beat. It's like we're back in school again, close as ever.

So when Kim asked me to photograph her wedding, I jumped at the chance. The day of the wedding I tagged along to the hair salon as the bridal party was made beautiful, was by the bride's side as she put on her wedding dress, and  watched as her bridesmaids and mother put the final touches on her. And of course, I was clicking away with my camera the whole time, catching every moment of the special day. Below are some photos from Kim and Josh Montalvo's wedding day. Professional Headshots - Lynchburg, Va.

I recently had the privilege of taking professional headshots for some local Realtors with Keller Williams in Lynchburg, Va. Sessions last just 15-20 minutes, can be done at the office and are quick and painless. My headshot clients receive on disk approximately 5 high resolution photos perfect for use on business cards, flyers and websites. Greene Family Fall Photos - Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest

The Greene family found me through my listing on Craigslist. The family wanted to try a more natural photo shoot at an outdoor location instead of the portrait studio sessions to which they were accustomed. We met at Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest Sunday evening and wandered the grounds for interesting backdrops. We had fun marveling at the beauty of Poplar Forest, while taking the time to take a few pictures. The Greene family was wonderful to work with and I thoroughly enjoyed our session. 50th Birthday Party - Forest, Va

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the 50th birthday party for Randy Gantt. The party was a surprise to him, planned by his wife, Rosie. Considering it was held two months before his actual birthday, you can say it definitely came as quite a surprise to Randy when he came home to more than 30 cars in his driveway and a few dozen of his friends and family. I was honored to be Randy's paparrazi for the evening. I loved being able to document the event which included many, many friends, good food, a great band, and fun times. Going For a Walk - Lake Vista, Forest, Va

My son, Reagan, and I enjoy this beautiful Spring weather with walks around our neighborhood in Lake Vista. Sometimes Reagan opts to ride his scooter, his bike or just run the street. We really enjoy this area of Forest because there are always people out walking, biking or jogging. Here are just a few photos I took on our walk. Reagan was gracious enough to pose for a few minutes for some of the shots, others I just snapped and caught him off guard.
